Quick summary
In Notion, folders are created by nesting pages inside a parent page using the /page block command. This method lets you organize subpages into a structured folder system directly within your Notion sidebar.
Steps
- In the left sidebar, click Add a page to create a new parent page.
- Enter a name for your new page, which will act as the folder.
- Click the blank space under the page name to place your cursor inside the page body.
- Type /page to open the block menu.
- Hover over Page in from the block menu to reveal the subpage options.
- Click the page name you want to add to your folder.
- Confirm that your selected page is now added to your folder as a subpage.
- Repeat the same process to add more pages to your folder.
- Your new page now acts as a folder where you can store and organize subpages.
