You can access a YouTube transcript in seconds using the built-in Show transcript option under the three-dot menu. If the option is unavailable, videotranscriber.ai lets you generate a transcript by pasting any YouTube video URL.
Steps
- Open any video on YouTube.
- Click the three-dot more button below the video title on the right side.
- Select Show transcript after scrolling down — the transcript panel opens to the right of the video.
- Select all the text in the transcript panel, copy it, and paste it into any document or tool you want to use it in.
- If the Show transcript option does not appear, go to videotranscriber.ai, paste the YouTube video URL into the input field, and click Get Transcript to generate one.
