Use this interactive demo to learn how to schedule a meeting using a SurveyMonkey availability survey.

Quick summary

SurveyMonkey lets you schedule meetings by creating a availability survey with multiple-choice and open-ended questions, then sharing the survey link with participants to collect responses and identify the best meeting time.

Steps

  1. Click the Create Survey button to start a new survey.
  2. Give your survey a clear title.
  3. Add open-ended questions to ask for additional preferences, such as whether participants prefer a virtual or in-person meeting.
  4. Click SAVE to save your open-ended question.
  5. Add multiple-choice questions that allow participants to indicate their availability on specific dates and times.
  6. Once you have added the time slots, click SAVE.
  7. Once your survey is ready, click Preview Survey to review it.
  8. Click Continue to proceed.
  9. Send your survey via web link and click Copy to copy the link.
  10. Share the copied link with your groups.
  11. Once responses are collected, click the Analyze Results tab.
  12. Review the survey results to determine the best meeting time and date based on participant availability.

📌 Why this matters

Scheduling meetings across large or distributed groups is a common coordination challenge. SurveyMonkey solves this by letting you build a custom availability survey with multiple-choice time slots and open-ended preference questions, then share it instantly via a web link. As responses come in, the Analyze Results dashboard surfaces the most popular times, so organizers can make data-driven scheduling decisions without endless back-and-forth emails. This makes SurveyMonkey a practical, no-code solution for meeting scheduling, group polling, and availability tracking at any scale.
