This tutorial shows what's included in Replit's free plan and how to get started building and running projects at no cost.

Note: The free plan includes limited compute and storage. Features like private Repls, increased RAM, and always-on deployments require a paid Replit Core plan. Replit has also rebranded Repls to Apps - if you see "Create App" in your dashboard, that's the same as "Create Repl."

Go to replit.com and click Create account in the top-right corner of the page.
Choose a sign-up method - Google, GitHub, or email and complete the onboarding prompts.
After signing up, check your plan details. You can use Free or choose a premium plan. Otherwise, click Continue with Starter.
On the main screen, you can type your idea as a prompt, for example, “A quarterly review presentation for a SaaS startup team, summarizing key metrics, wins, challenges, and next quarter priorities.” Then, click the Arrow button to run.
Replit will process your ideas and will show the result in minutes. Your output appears in the Console on the right. You can now experiment and bring your ideas to work.
