Steps
- Click the 'Create a design' tab at the upper left corner of your Canva dashboard.
- Select the 'Document' option from the design type list.
- Click the add icon on the right side of the page, or type '/' to open the Canva Assistant shortcut.
- Select 'Magic Write' from the list of available tools.
- Enter or describe the text you want to generate in the prompt field.
- Click 'Generate' to proceed — results will be produced in real-time.
- Click 'Stop generation' or press 'Esc' on your keyboard to end the generation at any point.
- Select 'Retry' to generate the output again, or 'Insert' to add the generated text to your design.
- After clicking 'Insert', the AI-generated text is added directly to your design.
- Once satisfied, click 'Share' to save and share your completed Canva design.
