Linear's Timeline view lets teams visualize all projects on a horizontal schedule, making it easy to track progress across teams and dates. You can filter, group, and reorder projects, then save a default view so every team member sees a consistent layout.
Steps
- Go to the Projects tab in the sidebar.
- Click Display to access the option to switch to Timeline view.
- Select Timeline to activate the timeline layout.
- Review your projects displayed on a horizontal timeline.
- Use filters to focus on specific teams, assignees, or priorities.
- Customize your timeline view by configuring groups.
- Set up the preferred ordering for your projects.
- Configure the additional timeline options to suit your workflow.
- Click 'Set default for everyone' to save the view for your whole team.
- Click 'Save' to confirm all changes.
