Gemini's Deep Research mode lets you submit a detailed research prompt, select trusted sources, and receive a comprehensive, structured report generated by AI. It streamlines multi-source research into a single guided workflow directly inside the Gemini dashboard.
Steps
- On Gemini's main dashboard, go to the chat box and click the Tools button.
- Select Deep Research from the tools menu.
- Prepare and enter a detailed research prompt explaining the topic and scope of your research.
- Open the Source menu and select the available sources you want Gemini to use.
- If needed, tap the Files tab to upload additional documents as sources.
- Click Submit to send your research request.
- Review the research plan provided by Gemini — click Edit Plan to adjust it, or tap Start Research to proceed.
- Gemini will use Deep Research mode to generate a concise, detailed response to your prompt.
