Use this interactive demo to learn how to turn off Copilot in Dynamics 365.

‍

‍

Here’s how to do it:

‍

  1. Let's disable Copilot in Dynamics 365. Start by clicking the 'Sales' option gear icon in the bottom-left corner.
  2. Now, navigate to 'App Settings' to access the system configuration options.
  3. Head over to the 'General Settings' section and select 'Overview' to manage Copilot features.
  4. Go to 'Copilot' and click on 'Edit Settings to view all available configuration options for your environment.
  5. Select 'Advanced Settings'.
  6. Click 'Individual apps'.
  7. Select your preferred app.
  8. Click on the drop down arrow next to 'Copilot'.
  9. Choose and select 'Off' to turn off Copilot in Dynamics 365.
  10. Click 'Continue' to confirm.
  11. Then finally, click 'Save' to confirm changes.

📌 Why this matters

Disabling Copilot gives you complete control over your CRM environment, eliminating AI suggestions that might conflict with your established workflows or compliance requirements. Beyond personal preference, this becomes essential when your organization handles sensitive data that shouldn't be processed by AI systems, or when you're training new users who need to master core functionality without AI assistance.

You can also selectively disable it for specific apps while keeping it active elsewhere, creating a customized experience that matches your team's varying comfort levels with AI tools.
