This tutorial shows how to disable AI code suggestions and autocompletion in Replit to give you full manual control over your editor.

Notes:

This only disables AI code completion and suggestions in the editor. Replit itself runs on AI infrastructure, so this setting does not remove the Agent or other AI-powered features entirely.
To reduce Agent activity instead of disabling it, switch to Lite mode by clicking the lightning bolt (⚡) icon in the Agent tab.

Sign in at replit.com and go to your main screen.
Click the Settings icon at the bottom of the sidebar.
In Settings, click Personalization.
Open the Code Editing section.
Find the Code Intelligence toggle and switch it off. AI code suggestions and autocompletion are now disabled in your editor.
