Use this interactive demo to learn how to find your highest-engagement posts in Buffer Analytics.

Quick summary

Buffer's Analyze feature lets you sort posts by engagement rate across social channels so you can instantly identify your best-performing content. By filtering the Posts tab in descending order, you surface the highest-impact posts without manually reviewing every update.

Steps

  1. Click the Analyze button in the top menu bar to open Buffer's analytics section.
  2. Select the social channel (e.g., Twitter / X) that contains the posts you want to evaluate.
  3. Click the Posts tab to view your published post data.
  4. Scroll down to the Insights section and open the Sort By menu.
  5. Select Eng. Rate (Engagement Rate) from the sort options to rank posts by likes, shares, and comments.
  6. Set the order to Descending so posts are ranked from highest to lowest engagement.
  7. Review the sorted list to see your best-performing posts displayed at the top of the feed.

📌 Why this matters

Knowing which posts drive the most engagement is essential for any social media strategy. Buffer's Analyze feature lets marketers sort posts by engagement rate across channels like Twitter/X, making it easy to identify top-performing content in seconds. By ranking posts from highest to lowest engagement rate — covering likes, shares, and comments — teams can replicate winning content formats and eliminate guesswork. This data-driven approach helps brands consistently grow their social presence and maximize return on every post published.
