Quick summary
Tagging someone in a Jira comment lets you mention and notify a teammate directly within a ticket, keeping collaboration in context. Simply type @ in the comment box and select the user from the suggested results to instantly link them to the conversation.
Steps
- In your Jira space, find and select the ticket with the comment you wish to edit.
- Go to the Comments tab and type your comment into the message box.
- Type @ next to your message to trigger the mention lookup.
- Choose the user you want to tag from the suggested results.
- The selected user will be tagged in your comment and notified automatically.
