Quick summary
This tutorial shows how to sync Linear issues with a Notion database using a Zapier automation, so every new Linear issue is automatically captured as a Notion database entry. Setting up this Zap requires no code — just connecting your Linear and Notion accounts and configuring a trigger and action in the Zapier editor.
Steps
- From your Zapier dashboard, select Zap to start building a new automation.
- Click on the Trigger field to select the event that will start your Zap.
- Search and select Linear as your trigger app.
- Select New Issue as the trigger event.
- Connect your Linear account to Zapier by logging in and authorizing access.
- Configure the trigger details and click Continue.
- Click Test trigger to verify the connection pulls real Linear data.
- Search and select Notion as the action app.
- Select an action event to define what happens in Notion when a new issue is created.
- Select and connect your Notion account to authorize access.
- Configure the event details and click Continue.
- Click Test step to confirm the Notion action works correctly.
- Once the test is successful, click Publish to activate your Zap.
