It is very easy to shorten URLs in Hootsuite with Bitly. Here’s a quick guide on how to do it:
- On Bitly's main dashboard, head over to the left-side panel and click 'Create New'.
- Choose 'Shorten a Link' from the available options.
- After that, click the 'Destination' input field and paste the URL you want to shorten.
- Scroll down to the Short Link section, then enter your web address extension into the 'Custom Back-Half' input field.
- Once done, click 'Create Your Link' to proceed.
- The long URL of the website page will be shortened instantly. Now, it's time to insert it into your Hootsuite post. To do that, click 'Copy Link'.
- Tap the text box under Your Post and then paste the link.
- Finally, the shortened URL of website page will be added to your Hootsuite post.
