How to Share Notion Template

Updated on:
May 8, 2026

Madhav Bhandari
Use this interactive demo to learn how to share a Notion page with teammates via invite or link.

Quick summary

Sharing a Notion page lets you collaborate with teammates by sending direct invitations or generating a shareable link with custom permissions. Both methods give you control over who can view or edit your content without leaving the Notion interface.

Steps

  1. Click the Share button in the top right menu of your Notion page.
  2. Open the Share tab within the sharing panel.
  3. In the Share window, enter the name of a group or an email address to share the page with.
  4. Click Invite to send the invitation to the selected people.
  5. Confirm that your page is now shared by reviewing the list of people shown below the invite field.
  6. Set permissions for a unique sharing link by clicking the bottom left button to edit link access settings.
  7. Click the Copy link button to copy the shareable link to your clipboard and distribute it.

📌 Why this matters

Sharing content in Notion is a core collaboration workflow for teams managing projects, wikis, and documentation in one place. Understanding how to use Notion's Share feature — including both direct email invitations and permission-controlled links — ensures teammates get the right level of access without unnecessary back-and-forth. The ability to generate and customize a shareable link makes it easy to distribute Notion pages to external stakeholders or larger groups instantly. Mastering these sharing controls helps teams work faster, reduce access errors, and maintain tighter control over their workspace content.
