Here’s how to do it:
- Open your WordPress dashboard and go to 'Plugins'.
- Select 'Add New' from the options.
- In the search bar, type 'Yoast SEO' and click 'Install Now'.
- Once installed, click 'Activate' to continue.
- Upon activation, use the configuration wizard to set up basic settings. Hit 'Start first-time configuration' to allow Yoast to analyze your site's content.
- Click on 'Continue' to start the SEO Data Optimization.
- Define if your site represents an organization or a person, and input the name and logo.
- If satisfied, click 'Save and continue'.
- Add links to your social media profiles to help search engines build knowledge panels.
- Set your Personal Preferences.
- After the configuration, you will be able to access your Yoast SEO. Navigate and click the Yoast icon to configure how your site appears in search results.
- Once in the 'SEO Settings', select 'Settings' to continue.
- Configure search appearance for titles and metas by enabling the buttons beside each menu.
- Once done, click 'Save changes' to confirm the changes.
