How to Send Gifs in Slack
Gifs are a fun way to communicate, however Slack doesn't have a direct way of sending Gifs. It can only be done via an app called Giphy.
Here’s how you can use Giphy to send gifs in your Slack:
- Type ‘/giphy’ command in the chatbox.
- Choose the ‘Find and share a gif’ option from the list.
- Describe the gif you want to generate and click ‘Search’.
- If you’re not satisfied with the gif, you can use the ‘Shuffle’ option to generate more.
- Click on ‘Share’ to send your gif.
Note - Giphy shortcuts will not appear in the attachments and shortcuts menu within threads. To share GIFs in a thread, use the /giphy command in the message field.
