Quick summary
Jira does not restore deleted tickets, but admins can use the Audit Log to find the keys of any deleted Jira issues. This four-step process requires Jira Admin access and takes less than a minute to complete.
Steps
- On the Jira home page, go to the top-right corner and click the Settings icon.
- Select System from the list of options under Jira Admin Settings.
- In the left-hand panel, click Audit Log under Troubleshooting and Support.
- Find the log entries labeled Deleted Jira Issue — the ticket keys of the deleted issues are displayed next to each entry.
