Steps
- Go to getsharex.com, download the free ShareX application, then install and open it.
- In ShareX, click Capture in the left sidebar, then select Screen recording from the capture options.
- Use the crosshair cursor to click and drag to select the area where the YouTube video will play, or press Space to capture the full screen.
- Open and play the YouTube video — ShareX will begin recording automatically after the countdown.
- When finished, click the record icon in the taskbar or press the ShareX hotkey (default: Shift + Print Screen) to stop recording.
- Open the ShareX taskbar to access the file location — ShareX automatically saves the recording to your designated output folder.
