Quick summary
A reverse indent (also called a hanging indent) in Google Slides lets you format text so the first line starts further left than the rest of the paragraph. You can achieve this by selecting your text box and manually dragging the indent markers on the ruler to the desired position.
Steps
- In the left slide panel, click the slide thumbnail you want to edit.
- On the slide canvas, click the text box that contains the text you want to format.
- Highlight the paragraph or citation you want to adjust.
- Drag the first-line indent marker back to the left on the ruler.
- Adjust both markers until the text has the reverse indent style you want.
- Your text now has a reverse indent applied in Google Slides.
