Replacing an image in Canva lets you swap photos while preserving the original layout, position, and size. Use the Uploads panel to select a new image and instantly update your design without restructuring anything.
Steps
- On the edit toolbar, click 'Uploads' to open the uploads panel.
- Click on the image you want to replace — a border will appear around it to confirm it is selected.
- In the uploads menu, choose and click the replacement image you want to use in your Canva design.
- The new image will automatically replace the old one, maintaining the same position and size.
- Once satisfied with the result, click 'Share' to publish or export your updated design.
