Quick summary
To remove the author from a PowerPoint presentation on Mac, open File > Properties, navigate to the Summary tab, and clear the Author field. This permanently strips the default author metadata from your PowerPoint file in just a few clicks.
Steps
- Inside the slide canvas, head to the menu bar and click File.
- Choose Properties from the list of options.
- Click the Summary tab in the dialogue box.
- Click the field next to Author and delete its default content.
- Click OK to apply the changes.
- The default author of your PowerPoint presentation will now be removed.
