Removing a current work position on LinkedIn requires navigating to your Experience section and using the edit tools to delete the job entry. Once deleted, the position will no longer appear as your active role on your public profile.
Steps
- Click on your profile and select 'View Profile' from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the Experience section where all your work history is displayed.
- Click on the pencil icon next to the Experience section to open editing options.
- Find your current work position you want to remove, hover over the job listing, and click the pencil icon.
- On the job editing screen, scroll to the bottom and click 'Delete experience'.
- Click 'Delete' to confirm the removal of the position.
- Once the job is deleted, it will no longer appear as your current position on your LinkedIn profile.
