This tutorial shows how to create a Zapier automation that pushes new or updated Dropbox files to OneDrive automatically, eliminating manual file transfers between the two cloud storage platforms.
Steps
- Navigate to the left-side panel and tap Create.
- Choose Zaps from the list of options.
- Click the Trigger tab to start the integration process.
- Search for Dropbox and select it from the suggested results.
- Click the Trigger Event menu to view available options.
- Select New or Updated File as the trigger event.
- Tap Sign In and log into your active Dropbox account.
- Tap Continue to proceed.
- Configure the trigger by specifying the Dropbox Space or Folder to monitor, and set any required conditions.
- Tap Continue to run your input and test the Trigger.
- Choose the specific Dropbox record you wish to use, then tap Continue With Selected Record.
- Search for OneDrive and choose it as the Action app.
- Click the Action Event menu to explore the available options.
- Pick Upload File from the list of choices.
- Click Sign In and log into your Microsoft OneDrive account.
- Tap Continue to proceed.
- Fill out the input fields, selecting your target OneDrive Folder or Shared Folder for the uploaded files.
- Go to the File text field and tap the Add icon inside it.
- Choose File from the given options to map the Dropbox file.
- Tap Continue to publish and enable the integration.
- Your Dropbox files will now be pushed to OneDrive automatically each time new content is uploaded.
