This demo walks you through how to overlay images in Google Slides by stacking, layering, and adjusting transparency to create seamless blended visuals. No third-party tools needed — everything is done directly inside Google Slides using built-in Format options.
Steps
- Head to Insert and click Image to drop your first image onto the slide.
- Choose Upload from computer and select the image you want to use.
- Click and drag one image directly on top of the other to stack them.
- Right-click the top image, select Order, then use Bring to front or Send to back to control the layer order.
- Grab a corner handle to resize or reposition the image until everything lines up.
- Click the top image and open Format options from the toolbar.
- In the panel, expand Adjustments to reveal opacity controls.
- Drag the Transparency slider to let the bottom image show through for an instant overlay effect.
- Your images are now overlaid and blended — the overlay is complete.
