Use this interactive demo to learn how to rearrange and reorder charts in your Amplitude dashboard.

Quick summary

Amplitude's Dashboard Editor lets you reorganize dashboard layout by dragging and dropping charts into your preferred order. Use the Grip icon on any chart to reposition it precisely using the blue drop-line indicator.

Steps

  1. Open the Dashboard Editor in Amplitude and locate the chart or content you want to reposition.
  2. Click the Grip icon at the top-left corner of the selected chart to begin dragging it.
  3. Drag the chart upward or downward to your desired position within the dashboard layout.
  4. Drop the chart onto the blue line indicator to place it accurately in the new position.
  5. Repeat the drag-and-drop steps for any remaining charts until your full dashboard layout is organized to your preference.

📌 Why this matters

Organizing your Amplitude dashboard layout is essential for teams that rely on data to make fast, informed decisions. By using the drag-and-drop Dashboard Editor, analysts and product managers can prioritize the most critical charts and metrics at the top of their view, reducing time spent scrolling and searching. A well-structured dashboard improves data readability and ensures that key performance indicators are always front and center. This feature gives Amplitude users full control over how their analytics workspace is structured, supporting better reporting workflows and stakeholder presentations.
