How to Merge Records in Airtable

It is very easy to merge duplicate records in Airtable with the aid of the Dedupe extension. Here’s a quick guide on how to do it in simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the top-right corner and then click 'Extensions'.
  2. Tap 'Add an Extension' afterwards.
  3. Following that, click on the search bar, then type 'Dedupe'.
  4. Find 'Dedupe' from the search results and click the 'Add' button next to it.
  5. Following that, select the 'Table' that contains the records you want to merge.
  6. Next, specify the 'View'.
  7. Toggle on the radio button next to the Fields that contain duplicate records.
  8. Once done, tap 'Review the Set of Duplicates' to proceed.
  9. Select the specific duplicate you want to use as the 'Primary Record'.
  10. After that, tap 'Merge and Delete 1 Record.
  11. Finally, click 'Merge' to confirm your request to merge the duplicate records in your Airtable.
