How To Merge Deals In Pipedrive

Use this interactive demo to learn how to merge deals in Pipedrive.

Here is how you can merge deals in Pipedrive:

  1. Open the Deals tab from the left sidebar menu.
  2. Locate the deal you wish to merge. Usually this is done for duplicates.
  3. Click on the deal you wish to merge with to open the detailed view.
  4. Click on the three dotted icon for more options at the top right.
  5. Select Merge.
  6. Use the search bar to look for the deal you wish to merge with the current one.
  7. Click on the appropriate result to select it.
  8. Verify the differences and pick the data you wish to keep in cases of conflict.
  9. Click on Preview.
  10. Verify the new merged preview and click on Merge to confirm.
  11. Your deals have been merged into one.

Duplicate deals create more than just clutter in your pipeline—they actively distort your sales metrics and forecasting accuracy. When the same opportunity appears multiple times, your revenue projections become inflated, and you lose track of actual deal progression.

Merging duplicates preserves all communication history and activity logs from both records, ensuring you maintain complete context while cleaning up your data. This becomes particularly valuable when deals originate from different sources or team members who weren't aware of existing opportunities with the same prospect.
