Managing comments in Wordpress is simple. Here’s how to do it:
- Head to your WordPress dashboard and click on 'Settings' in the sidebar to get started.
- Now, select 'Discussion' from the settings menu. This is where all comment controls live.
- Check or uncheck this to enable or disable comments for all future posts by default.
- Require name and email so it forces anonymous users to provide contact information, which helps reduce spam.
- Check/ Uncheck the comment before it appears.
- Hold a comment in the moderation queue if it contains specific words, IP addresses, or email addresses to automatically flag comments for moderation or move them to the trash.
- Enable or disable comment notifications so you know when someone joins the conversation.
- Break comments into pages as it improves page load times on posts with many comments by adding pagination.
- Click 'Save Changes' and that's it! You're now ready to manage comments like a pro and keep your site's conversation flowing.
