Quick summary
To make someone else a host on Zoom, open the Participants panel during a live meeting, locate the participant, and select Make Host from their options menu. The host role transfers instantly once you confirm the prompt.
Steps
- Inside the Zoom meeting, go to the menu bar and click Participants.
- Find the name of the participant you want to promote and click the More button next to their name.
- Select Make Host from the list of options in the dropdown menu.
- Tap Yes to confirm and complete the host transfer request.
- The selected participant is now assigned as the new host of the Zoom meeting.
