Steps
- Go to the Insert tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- Click Shapes located in the Illustrations group.
- Select a rectangle shape from the shapes panel.
- Click and drag your cursor on the slide to draw the box over your content.
- Go to the Shape Format tab that appears after drawing the shape.
- Click the Shape Fill dropdown button in the Shape Styles group.
- Select No Fill to make the center of the box completely transparent.
- Click the Shape Outline dropdown button located right below the fill option.
- Choose your preferred border color from the color palette.
- Hover over Weight in the outline menu and select a thicker line for a more visible outline.
