This demo shows how to create a website in Google Slides by designing slides as pages, adding internal slide links as navigation buttons, and publishing to the web for a live shareable URL. It is a free, no-code method ideal for simple websites, portfolios, or project showcases.
Steps
- Open a blank presentation in Google Slides.
- Create your main home slide to serve as the website's landing page.
- In the menu bar, click Insert to add text boxes, images, or shapes for your sections.
- Create the structure of your website by using shapes as buttons to add links to other slides.
- Insert images or add a background to your home page.
- Create a new slide that will serve as another page of your website.
- Repeat the same steps for all other pages.
- Go back to your home slide, right-click the shape you want to use as a button, and click Link.
- Click Slide in this presentation to open the internal linking options.
- Select the slide you want to connect to your button, then repeat for all other buttons.
- Review your slides and links before publishing.
- In the menu bar, hover over Share, then click Publish to web.
- Set your publish to web settings then click Publish.
- Google Slides will ask for confirmation — click OK.
- Open the published link and test your navigation to confirm all buttons work correctly.
