Quick summary
Linking cells between worksheets in Microsoft Excel lets you reference data from one sheet inside another using a simple cell reference formula. Any update to the source cell automatically reflects in the linked target cell, keeping your workbooks accurate and in sync.
Steps
- Click the target cell where you want the linked data to appear.
- Type = in the target cell, then enter the source worksheet name followed by ! and the cell address (e.g., =Sheet2!A1); any changes in the source cell will automatically update the linked cell.
- Hit Enter, and the data from the source cell will appear in the target cell.
