This demo shows how to integrate Slack with Google Tasks using Zapier by building a no-code automation that turns Slack trigger events into Google Tasks actions automatically. In under 15 minutes, you can connect both apps, map data fields, and publish a live Zap without writing any code.
Steps
- Click Create and select Zap to start a new automation.
- Click Trigger to begin setting up the trigger step.
- Search for and select Slack as the trigger app.
- Select an appropriate trigger event such as New Channel or New File.
- Connect your Slack workspace by authorizing Zapier.
- Click Test trigger to verify the Slack connection returns sample data.
- Search for and select Google Tasks as the action app.
- Choose an action like Create Task or Update Task.
- Connect your Google account by logging in and granting permissions to Zapier.
- Specify how the Slack trigger should be mapped to Google Tasks fields and click Continue.
- Test the action to ensure the task is created or updated in Google Tasks successfully.
- Give your Zap a name for easy identification.
- Once everything is set up and tested, publish your Zap by clicking Publish.
