Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Bitbucket events to Microsoft Teams via Make.com.

Quick summary

This tutorial shows how to integrate Microsoft Teams with Bitbucket using Make.com by building an automated scenario that sends Teams notifications whenever a Bitbucket event is triggered. Follow the steps below to connect both apps, configure your trigger and action, and test the workflow end to end.

Steps

  1. Go to your Make.com dashboard and click '+Create a new scenario'.
  2. In the scenario editor, click the add icon, search for 'Bitbucket', and click on it.
  3. Choose a trigger event for Bitbucket and click on it.
  4. Connect your Bitbucket account by clicking the 'Create a connection' button.
  5. Select 'Grant access' to allow Make to integrate with Bitbucket.
  6. In the scenario editor, click the add icon, search for 'Microsoft Teams', and click on it.
  7. Choose an action event from Microsoft Teams and click on it.
  8. Set up the workflow to define how Bitbucket triggers result in actions in Microsoft Teams, then click 'OK'.
  9. Click 'Run Once' to test the integration.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Microsoft Teams with Bitbucket allows development teams to receive instant, automated notifications in Teams whenever key repository events occur in Bitbucket, eliminating the need to manually monitor version control activity. This no-code automation, built on Make.com, reduces context-switching and keeps every team member aligned on code changes, pull requests, and pipeline updates in real time. For engineering and DevOps teams, connecting Bitbucket triggers to Teams actions accelerates incident response and improves collaboration without writing a single line of custom code.
