How to Integrate FreshBooks with Xero

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to connect FreshBooks to Xero using Zapier to bridge the two platforms. This automation ensures your B2B financial data stays consistent across both systems.

1. Log in to your Zapier account and select Create Zap.
2. Click Trigger and search for FreshBooks.
3. Select FreshBooks as your Trigger.
4. Select which event and account before continuing.
5. Connect your specific FreshBooks account.
6. Click Continue located in the bottom right corner.
7. Authorize your FreshBooks account and click Test Trigger.
8. Select which record to use before clicking Continue with selected record.
9. Select Xero as the action app.
10. Choose the corresponding event. (e.g., Create Sales Invoice or Create Payment)
11. Click Continue.
12. Finalize field mappings to ensure accurate invoice replication, then click Continue.
13. Click the Test step button at the bottom of the mapping screen.
14. In the lower right corner, click the Publish button to activate the sync.
