Use this interactive demo to learn how to integrate your Dynamics 365 applications with mapping solutions.

‍

‍

Integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 with maps is achieved primarily by enabling native Bing Maps. Here’s how:

‍

  1. Start by clicking the gear icon in your Dynamics 365 interface to open settings.
  2. Now, select "Advanced Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Head over to the "Administration" menu.
  4. Click on "System Settings" and choose the "General" tab.
  5. Scroll down until you find the "Enable Bing Maps" option.
  6. Toggle it ON to activate Bing Maps integration with Dynamics 365.
  7. Hit "Save" and you're all set. Maps are now part of your workflow.

📌 Why this matters

Enabling maps transforms your customer and lead records from static address text into interactive visual data. You can instantly plot client locations, optimize sales routes, and identify geographic clustering patterns that reveal untapped market opportunities. Maps also streamline field service scheduling by showing technician proximity to service calls.

The real advantage emerges when you start layering business data onto geographic views—suddenly you can spot regional sales trends, plan territory expansions based on customer density, and make location-driven decisions that would be impossible with spreadsheet data alone.
