Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Asana projects to Confluence in minutes.

Quick summary

The Asana–Confluence integration lets teams link project tasks directly to Confluence pages by adding the Confluence app through Asana's project customization menu. Once connected and access is granted, both platforms share seamless task management and documentation in one workflow.

Steps

  1. Go to the Projects menu and select the project you want to connect to Confluence.
  2. Click the Customize option in the project settings.
  3. In the Add section, select Apps.
  4. Search for Confluence and click on it to select it.
  5. Click Add to project to add the Confluence app to your project.
  6. Select Connect to Confluence to begin the authorization process.
  7. Select Accept to grant Confluence access to your Asana project.
  8. Your Asana and Confluence integration is now complete, enabling seamless task management and collaboration across both platforms.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Asana with Confluence bridges the gap between project execution and documentation, allowing teams to keep tasks and reference materials in sync without switching tools. Teams that connect Asana projects to Confluence reduce context-switching, improve cross-functional visibility, and ensure that project decisions are always backed by up-to-date documentation. This integration is especially valuable for product, engineering, and operations teams that rely on both tools daily for planning and delivery.
