How to Import Tax Forms in TurboTax

To import your forms in TurboTax, follow these steps:

1. First things first—click "Federal" to kick off your tax import process.
2. Now head to "Income" and give it a click.
3. Select "Wages and Salaries (W-2)" and hit "Start" to begin importing your W-2.
4. Enter your Employer Identification Number (EIN) from Box b on your W-2 form.
5. Pick your import method—snap a photo, auto-import, or type it in manually. Your choice.
6. Going the manual route? Grab your W-2 and click "Type it in myself."
7. Copy each box from your W-2 exactly as printed. Name, address, EIN, withholding—accuracy counts here.
8. All set? Click "Continue" to lock in your W-2 info and move forward.
