Use this interactive demo to learn how to import questions into Microsoft Forms.

‍

‍

Microsoft Forms supports Quick Import from Word documents or PDFs to bring in questions efficiently. Here's a simple guide:

‍

  1. On your Microsoft 365 main dashboard, click Apps to see all apps.
  2. Click on Forms to open Microsoft Forms.
  3. Go to your Microsoft Forms, and click Quick Import in the top-left corner.
  4. Click Select a Word or PDF file to upload and auto-convert questions into your form.
  5. Choose Form as your import file.
  6. Click Start review to preview and finalize your form, and you're all set!

📌 Why this matters

Importing questions transforms existing documents into interactive forms without starting from scratch. You can repurpose training materials, survey drafts, or assessment documents that already exist in your organization.

This becomes especially powerful when you're working with subject matter experts who prefer writing in Word rather than building forms directly. The auto-conversion also maintains question formatting and structure, which means you spend time refining content instead of recreating it, making form creation a collaborative process rather than a solo technical task.
