Google Slides stores automatic version history that lets you restore old templates without losing your current work. You can access, preview, and recover any previous snapshot of your presentation directly from the File menu.
Steps
- Click File in the top menu to access version control options.
- Select Version history from the dropdown, then click See version history.
- Browse through previous versions in the right panel and click any version to preview that snapshot.
- Click Restore this version to bring the selected version back as your current presentation.
- Select Restore to confirm the action.
- Your old template is now restored and ready to use again.
