How to Get HeyGen API Key

Use this interactive demo to learn how to obtain your HeyGen API key.

Getting your HeyGen API key allows you to connect HeyGen with external tools like Zapier, webhooks, or custom applications.

Log in to your HeyGen account and go to your dashboard to access the main workspace.
Click your profile icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Select Settings menu from the dropdown list to open account settings.
Navigate to the API section or developer settings within the menu.
Click Create API key if you do not have an existing API key.
Confirm by clicking Create API Key again.
Copy your new API key and store it securely—you won't see it again.
