Use this interactive demo to learn how to mirror any object horizontally or vertically in Google Slides.

Quick summary

You can flip an object in Google Slides using the Arrange menu in just a few clicks. Select your object, navigate to Arrange > Rotate, and choose a flip or rotation option to instantly mirror it on your slide.

Steps

  1. On the slide canvas, click the object you want to flip.
  2. In the top menu, click Arrange.
  3. From the dropdown menu, hover over Rotate.
  4. Choose Flip horizontally, Flip vertically, Rotate clockwise by 90°, or Rotate anticlockwise 90°.
  5. Your object will now be flipped on the slide.

📌 Why this matters

Flipping objects in Google Slides is an essential formatting skill for creating polished, professional presentations. Whether you need to mirror an image, icon, or shape, the built-in Arrange menu gives you instant horizontal and vertical flip controls without any third-party tools. Mastering this feature saves time and gives presenters precise layout control directly within Google Slides. It is especially useful for educators, marketers, and business teams who regularly design slide decks.
