Use this interactive demo to learn how to filter and view all Jira tickets you reported.

Quick summary

This demo shows how to use Jira's search and filter tools to quickly surface every ticket you created by applying the Reporter filter set to Current User.

Steps

  1. On Jira's main home page, go to the top navigation bar and click the search bar.
  2. Click View All Work Items from the search results panel.
  3. In the Search Mode menu, confirm that Basic mode is selected.
  4. Click the More Filters button to expand additional filter options.
  5. Locate Reporter in the filter list and tick the checkbox beside it.
  6. Tick the checkbox beside Current User to filter tickets by yourself.
  7. View all Jira tickets you have created, now displayed in the results list.

📌 Why this matters

Finding tickets you created in Jira is essential for tracking your own contributions, monitoring issue status, and staying accountable across projects. Jira's Reporter filter combined with the Current User option lets teams instantly scope a potentially large backlog down to a single user's submissions without writing any JQL. This saves time during sprint reviews, audits, and personal task management. For teams managing complex multi-user projects, this workflow is a quick and reliable way to maintain visibility over individual workloads.
