Use this interactive demo to learn how to find the form ID in Microsoft Forms.

‍

‍

Microsoft Forms Form ID appears in the browser URL when editing or previewing your form, needed for Power Automate flows or API integrations.

‍

  1. On your Microsoft 365 main dashboard, click Apps to see all apps.
  2. Click on Forms to open Microsoft Forms.
  3. Open the specific form you need the ID for.
  4. Look at the Address Bar (URL) of your web browser at the very top of the screen.
  5. Find the text that says "id=". Everything that follows that equal sign is the unique Form ID.

📌 Why this matters

You need the Form ID to connect Microsoft Forms with Power Automate workflows, third-party applications, and API integrations that require precise form targeting. While Microsoft's interface makes it easy to work within their ecosystem, external tools and custom solutions can't simply reference "that survey about employee feedback" - they need the exact alphanumeric identifier.

This ID also becomes essential when managing multiple similar forms, as it's the only way to guarantee you're pulling data from or pushing responses to the correct form instance.
