Quick summary
Exporting Slack conversations lets workspace admins download message history from any channel within a chosen date range. The export is initiated through Workspace Settings under the Import/Export Data section.
Steps
- Click on your workspace name in the sidebar.
- Select Tools & settings from the dropdown and click on Workspace settings.
- You will be taken to the Settings & Permissions page.
- Click on the Import/Export Data button on the top right.
- Select the Export tab.
- Set the date range for the time you want the conversation data from.
- Click on Start Export to begin downloading your conversation data.
