How to Edit Tags in Asana

Steps

  1. Select a task and open it to access its details.
  2. In the task details panel, click your preferred tag to begin editing it.
  3. Click the dropdown arrow beside the tag to reveal available tag actions.
  4. Click the Rename tag option to rename your tag.
  5. Enter your new tag name and click Update tag to save the change.
  6. Click the Copy tag link option to copy a shareable link to your tag.
  7. A notification will appear at the bottom of the screen confirming the tag link has been copied.
  8. Click Sync to calendar to sync tasks associated with your tag to a calendar.
  9. Copy the provided calendar sync link and paste it into your calendar application.
  10. Click Add tasks via email to enable adding tasks to this tag by email.
  11. A modal will appear with instructions for using the Add tasks by email feature.
  12. Click the Print option to print the tag and its associated tasks.
  13. After clicking Print, save and download the file to your computer.
  14. Click Set color to change the color of your tag for easier visual identification.
  15. Click Export and select CSV to export your tag data.
  16. A notification will appear confirming your tag has been successfully exported.
  17. Click Delete tag to remove the tag from Asana.
  18. Click Delete in the confirmation prompt to permanently delete the tag.
