You can download a Gemini conversation by exporting it to Google Docs and then saving it in your preferred file format, such as Microsoft Word (.docx). This method lets you permanently store, share, or edit any Gemini chat response outside the Gemini app.
Steps
- On the Gemini dashboard, go to the left-side panel and select the conversation you want to download.
- Find the specific message you want to export, then click the More button below it.
- Choose Export to Docs from the list of options.
- Once the document is created, click the Open Docs button in the pop-up notification.
- Inside the Google Doc, click the File button in the top menu.
- Hover over the Download option and select your preferred export format (e.g., Microsoft Word .docx).
- The selected Gemini conversation will be downloaded instantly to your device.
