Deleting a Jira issue is a permanent action completed in four quick steps using the More Actions menu and a typed confirmation. Once confirmed, the issue is removed from your Jira project board and cannot be recovered.
Steps
- In your Jira space, find the issue you want to delete and click its corresponding More Actions button.
- Choose Delete from the list of options in the dropdown menu.
- Type delete into the provided input field to confirm your request.
- Click the Delete button to proceed with the deletion.
- The selected issue in your Jira project will now be permanently deleted.
