Use this interactive demo to learn how to delete a view in Dynamics 365.

‍

‍

To delete a view, follow these simple steps:

‍

  1. Access your Dynamics 365 account and navigate to 'Contacts'.
  2. Click on the view dropdown to see all available views for this entity.
  3. Select 'Manage and share views'.
  4. Select the specific view you want to delete from the list by clicking the ellipsis icon.
  5. Choose 'Delete' from the menu options.
  6. Click 'Delete' to confirm the prompt. Your view is now removed, and your workspace is a bit tidier.

📌 Why this matters

Removing outdated or redundant views keeps your interface clean and helps your team focus on the data that actually matters. When views accumulate over time, they create decision fatigue and slow down daily workflows.

Beyond the obvious decluttering benefit, deleting unused views also improves system performance and reduces the cognitive load on new users who might otherwise feel overwhelmed by too many options. A streamlined view list means faster navigation and fewer mistakes when colleagues are trying to find the right data perspective.
