Use this interactive demo to learn how to delete a personal view in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

‍

‍

Here’s how to delete a Personal view:

‍

  1. On your Dynamics 365 dashboard, navigate to 'Contacts'.
  2. Click the view dropdown to see all available views in your current module.
  3. Select 'Manage and share views' to find the personal view you want to delete from the list.
  4. Click the three dots next to the view name to open more options.
  5. Click 'Delete' from the drop down menu.
  6. Then, click 'Delete' again to confirm the deletion to permanently remove this view from your workspace.

📌 Why this matters

Deleting outdated personal views keeps your workspace organized and prevents confusion when switching between data perspectives. Over time, you'll create multiple views for different projects or reporting needs, and unused ones quickly clutter your interface.

More importantly, removing obsolete views eliminates the risk of accidentally using outdated filters or sorting criteria that could lead to incorrect business decisions. Clean view management also improves team collaboration since you'll spend less time navigating through irrelevant options when sharing screens or explaining your data analysis process to colleagues.
